Give the gift of a tree to yourself or anyone else. These stunning trees can live to be over 100 years old and explode with flowers in the early spring. These are the legendary trees planted in West Potomac Park in Washington, DC and are celebrated annually during the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The Japanese Yoshino Cherry tree is a hybrid cherry of unknown origin. It occurs as a natural hybrid in Japan and is now one of the most popular and widely-planted, cultivated, flowering cherries ("sakura") in temperate and semi-temperate climates worldwide. They can grow to be 16–39 feet tall. It does well in full sun and moist but well drained soil.
The flowers emerge before the leaves in early spring and they are fragrant. The flowers grow in clusters of five or six together.
Tree will arrive 2 - 4 feet in height.
