2008 National Cherry Blossom Festival Lapel Pin

The Official 2008 National Cherry Blossom Festival pin celebrates the 96th anniversary of the gift of 3000 Yoshino Cherry trees from Japan planted around the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC, and the enduring friendship between the citizens of the United States and Japan. Pin is gold colored with white, green and pink enamel.

An annual two-week, citywide event in Washington DC, the National Cherry Blossom Festival features many exciting events, cultural demonstrations and performances such as the Festival Parade, Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival, art exhibits, fireworks, sports competitions and other celebrations marking the start of spring.
